The Opinionated One

How much longer must we wait?

With the overwhelming success of each installment in the Elder Scrolls series, it is inevitable that a fifth installment is forth-coming. But several years have now passed since Oblivion came out, and there has been no official word on it.

Oh, but there's been all sorts of stuff that has come out for Fallout 3, WET and other Bethesda titles. And that is all fine. However, nothing gets the Bethesda's customers whipped inton a frenzy like the announcement and subsequent publicity of a new Elder Scrolls title. And in my personal opinion, they are long past due on some sort of news.

Furthermore, what I would like to see them actually do is form a team of skilled community members who prove their competence with the editing tools that will come with TES-V and allow them to produce an on-going series of premium mods that will carry on the primary storyline from where it leaves off. Have enough people on this team, and even go so far as to pay them 1/x of 10% of digital sales where x is the number of people on the team.

The end result will be on-going story-driven content that would only require official review to make sure that what the team is doing doesn't interfere with anything Bethesda has planned.

Well, as it turns out, the wait is over for the announcement of TES-V.
